3DS modding!

This may or may not come as a surprise to you, but as of April 8, 2024, Nintendo has officially shut down both WiiU and 3DS servers and support. My WiiU hasn't been functional for years at this point, and frankly even if it weren't dead I would've still treated that console as dead, but my 3DS I absolutely hold near and dear to my heart. It's an amazing console, where else can you see such articles like this one of a man being able to see in 3d for the first time (okay maybe in hte past with the virtual console and now with vr, both of which use similar stereoscopic 3d technologies). Regardless of that gimmick, the 3DS is host to my absolute most favorite game of ALL TIME: Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate. Yes I remember sitting in Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate lobbies on the WiiU and chatting with randoms about I would wish that Capcom released a WiiU port like they did for that title previous, but eventually I had to face the music and admit to myself this one truth - they were probably not going to do that (they didn't). And so leading up to the release date I begged my mom to buy me a 3ds, I even found a deal she absolutely couldn't refuse on ebay - a used 3DS XL and a copy of of Super Smash Bros. for the 3DS all for the low low price of $100 and hundreds of more hours of me wasting my time refusing to focus on my studies (what a bargain!) Surprisingly enough she took me up on that offer and soon enough I was a proud owner of this neat little console. I had already owned a copy of Smash on my WiiU however so I quickly traded that away to a friend for his copy of Pokemon Alpha Sapphire, which was the first Pokemon I game I actually owned and didn't just emulate on my jailbroken IPhone (sure I was tech-savvy back then but I wasn't a tech wiz, nowadays you wouldn't catch me dead with an IPhone, Yuck!).
